"When the sky swallowed its sun and remained in the darkness of the night, Fatmeh returned to dance her losses away. Finding comfort in the voice of another Fatmeh to express her pain, tracing through history the Fatmehs plagued by separation and death, to embrace their hair together around the city and its despair.

Fatmeh is a dance performance that investigates the physical movements (...) that stem out of the intimate and private to propose inquiries into the relationship between body and religion, society, norms and cultural legacy.
Fatmeh retrieves gestures-movements of mourning and tragedy, especially the aspect of repetition and layering of time, to reframe and represent the catastrophe by translating the language of grieving and sadness into a physical joy that is not separate from daily activities."
